Tundra Esports continues its dominance as the best team in the BLAST Slam tournament.
In a dominant performance, Tundra Esports captured the Dota 2 BLAST Slam V title in Chengdu, China, with a clean 3-0 win in the grand final over Team Yandex.
Tundra Esports captain Neta “33” Shapira, widely considered the best offlaner in the Dota 2 scene today, led the team to victory over Team Yandex. Despite entering the final as underdogs, Yandex proved themselves to be a legitimate threat after defeating heavy favorites, Team Falcons.

When asked why other teams couldn’t beat and stop them in the BLAST Slam tournament, 33 responded with:
“I wish I knew why we were good at BLAST and bad at other tournaments. But I’m happy we won.”
Matthew “Ari” Walker, who plays 4th for Tundra Esports, said in a post-match interview that he would never be satisfied with just one win, and he praised his time playing with his teammates:
“I think my teammates are good people who are easy to get along with, easy to work with. There’s no egos that get too crazy or anything like that. It just feels too good to be on this team even though we’re so far from home.”
Tundra Esports has now won four of the six tournaments organized by BLAST. The team dropped its first BLAST Slam round last year at BLAST Slam I after losing to Team BetBoom in the grand final, but they bounced back by winning BLAST Slam II. Since then, Tundra Esports has succeeded in defending the trophy through the following BLAST Slam event.

The following is the final standings of the teams taking part in BLAST Slam V.
- Champion: Tundra Esports.
- Second place winner: Yandex Team
- 3rd-4th placers: Falcons and MOUZ teams
- 5th-6th placer: OG and Born to Win
- 7th-10th placers: HEROIC, Team Tidebound, Yakult Brothers, Xtreme Gaming
- 11th-12th placer: Execration and Tears
In addition to the defending champions, runner-up Team Yandex, and the third and fourth-place teams, Team Falcons and MOUZ, received direct invitations to BLAST Slam VI, which will take place February 3–15, 2026, in Malta.
