Announcing AnonyMouse App Pick of the Month for October 2025: EchoBox Player

When a developer who relies on accessibility creates tools for others who do the same thing, the results are often well-thought-out, intuitive, and genuinely useful to meet real needs — and EchoBox Player no exception.

A New Way to Listen

EchoBox Player is a fully accessible media player that supports a variety of audio formats, including MP3, M4A, and M4B files with chapter support, as well as DAISY audiobooks. Since I started using the EchoBox Player, what has stood out the most is how well it works with VoiceOver. The layout is simple and straightforward, with clear labeling and logical navigation that makes it easy to move through folders, select tracks, and move between sections of an audiobook or recording.

Another detail that impressed me was how the app respects your file organization. It’s rare to find an app that feels like it was designed from the ground up with accessibility at its core, but this app definitely delivers on that promise.
