- Tencent Games applied for the trademark “Honor of Kings: Ace” in Europe under the EUIPO.
- The filing could be related to an automated chess game based on the Honor of Kings IP.
- If confirmed, Tencent will soon challenge Teamfight Tactics and Magic Chess.
Tencent Games may have just revealed its long-awaited global name Honor of Kings auto chess spin-off. A new trademark was recently filed in Europe, sparking speculation that it could become the official international brand for the strategy title previously known as King’s Chess in China.
The automatic chess game Honor of Kings is currently known as King’s Chess
The trademark, as discovered by ThePhraseMaker, was filed on July 2, 2026, and is currently listed as an “Application under examination” under the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). While Tencent hasn’t officially confirmed what the trademark is for, there’s understandably been a lot of speculation.
So, this game is nothing new; we’ve been hearing about this experience for about four years now. Originally announced back in 2022 during Honor of Kings’ anniversary celebration, King’s Chess is an auto-battle featuring chibi versions of popular Honor of Kings heroes.
Since its announcement, the project has continued to develop in many ways closed beta test in Chinathe last one occurred in June this year. The game follows the familiar auto chess formula, allowing you to focus on strategy, positioning units, and outmaneuvering opponents with different hero combinations.
For us fans, I think it’s closer to a full release than ever. This will be another major contender in the genre, going head to head with games like it Riot Games’ Team Fighting Tactics And MOONTON Games’ Magic Chess: Come on Come on after launch.
Since, for a long time, the title has been associated with part of the mega IP “Honor of Kings”, it seems that the Honor of Kings: Ace trademark is indeed intended for King’s Chess. If they want HoK branding for this title, that’s a logical way to do it.
At this time, Tencent Games has not officially linked the trademark to King’s Chess, so this is still speculation. The Chinese version of the game can be seen via the Haoyou Kuaibao App Store, but global testing is expected to come soon once they confirm that, so stay tuned for updates.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
