eFootball 2027 has another Selection Contract coming up, and this one is already getting plenty of discussion even though we’re still a couple of weeks away from actually claiming the card. The Show Time International Match Selection Contract gives you a choice between Aymeric Laporte, Weston McKennie, and Francisco Conceição.

While we still have some time before these cards become available, looking at their profiles and numbers already gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect. So I decided to get this live early.

So, rather than waiting until the contract arrives, let’s take an early look at Laporte, McKennie, and Conceição, what each brings to the table, and which one could be the better pick when you finally get that Selection Contract.

Aymeric Laporte

• Position: CB
• Attacking Playing Style: Build Up
• Defensive Playing Style: Covering Role
• Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Pass

Starting with the positives, Laporte gets two strong dual roles for a defender with Build Up and Covering Role, which is a big strength. He will be comfortable on the ball with his passing profile, while his defensive base, player ID, and height give him a solid foundation.

The negatives are a little harsh, though. The lack of pace is disappointing because you cannot really push it to a safe level, and while I don’t think extreme pace is essential for this role, it becomes important when playing a high line.

I also think the physical contact is slightly on the lower side, and I would have much preferred a defensive skill such as Long Reach Tackle or Shadow Hunt instead of Phenomenal Pass.

Weston McKennie

• Position: CMF
• Attacking Playing Style: Box-to-Box
• Defensive Playing Style: Box-to-Box
• Show Time Skills: Attack Trigger

McKennie is your typical ball-playing CMF, and there is a lot to like about the overall profile. He has the speed, physicality, passing, and dribbling to work well in a Box-to-Box role, while his defensive numbers are decent enough to contribute when he is asked to do the dirty work.

The frame is also good for a midfielder, although I don’t think it is quite enough to make him physically dominant in midfield to make up for the defensive numbers. Still, this looks like a very well-rounded card if you want a CMF who can contribute in pretty much every phase of the game.

Suggested Skills: Interception, Man Marking, Long Range Shooting, Outside Curler, Weighted Pass

Suggested Booster: Balancer, Off the Ball

Suggested Progression Points Allocation for Weston McKennie

Francisco Conceicao

• Position: RWF
• Attacking Playing Style: Prolific Winger
• Defensive Playing Style: Front Line Pressure
• Show Time Skills: Acceleration Burst

This is my personal favourite of the three. Conceicao has that combination of close-control dribbling and acceleration that makes him very exciting, and Acceleration Burst is a fantastic skill for a player like this. Despite his small height, his frame is decent, so the main concern is still going to be the physical side of his game and his weaker foot.

The close control and dribbling profile should make him a lot of fun, especially once you get him into open space. But I’d still say this card isn’t for the players who need physical dribblers.

After analyzing the cards on offer and checking out their numbers, here’s my tier list of the players.

I’d suggest skipping Laporte entirely. He looks decent to be a DMF, but the game is at a faster pace, so it’d be difficult to play someone lacking in that department entirely. I like both McKennie and Francisco, both have different use cases, so better to choose either of the two.
